This year's 27th Infantry Battalion Charity Challenge was in aid of Redeemer Girls National School and Autism Centre.
The event took place on Wednesday the 7th June, where the children were taken up to the mast on Anaverna in the Cooley Mountains.
Here they were greeted by 27 Inf Bn troops and released balloons to celebrate the event.
The 27 Inf Bn troops continued their run back to the school, where all the school children along with School Principal Patrick O'Rourke and his staff greeted the troops on their arrival and piped in by the 27 Inf Bn Piper Paddy McSorley.
A presentation of a plaque was accepted by the Bn 2I/C Comdt. Mark O'Sullivan from Patrick O'Rourke and Jim Mc Eneaney, Chairperson of ONE's Michael McNeela Branch.
The organisers offer their sincere thanks to Superintendent Charlie Armstrong and members of the Dundalk Community Policing Unit for their assistance with thanks also to Dundalk Credit Union for their donation to this event.
