There were big wins for Shamrocks, St Dominics, Quay Celtic and Rock Celtic, who all booked their places in the quarter-finals
Clancy Cup Round Up
Reigning Clancy Cup holders Shamrocks FC proved to be too strong for Bellurgan United at Flynn Park thanks to a hattrick from last season's Player of the Year Dean Brown.
Alex Tuelea got on the Hoops scoresheet for the first time this season as they recorded a 4-2 victory.
Both Cian Sharkey and Danno Kerr kept the homeside in the contest with each notching their 3rd strikes this term. The Fatima side will meet Muirhevnamor in the quarter finals. The Blues hold the record of 12 Clancy Cup wins.
St Dominics found Carrick Rovers to be a very tough competitior at the Friary Field, coming out eventual 4-2 victors.
Greg Shannon, the top scorer this season, brought his total to 12 goals with a brace. Colm Brackens strike was his 7th so far and Stephen Hutchinson with his first goal were the Saints scorers. Cillian Gartland and Stephen O'Rourke replied for Carrick.
Quay Celtic, five time winners of the Cup, played out a thrilling tussle with Glenmuir at Hoey's Lane before coming away with a 3-2 win.
Trailing 1-0 after 10 minutes to a superb free kick from Eoin Maguire, they gradually took control of the match as Fintan Brady, Ronan Cunningham and Terence Kelly strikes them 3-1 ahead. Right at the death Kerry Williams made it 3-2, but time had run out for the home side.
Rock Celtic faced Rampart Celtic in a repeat of the 2021 Clancy Cup final, which Rampart won on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
Once again it took spot kicks to separate them after a scoreless draw in Sandy Lane, Rampart winning 7-6 from the 12 yard mark.
