Go ahead given for new housing development at Castletown Road in Dundalk

Louth County Council grants conditional planning permission

Louth County Council has given the go ahead for a new housing development at the Castletown Road in Dundalk that will see 12 new homes built.

Mr Eugene Devlin has been granted conditional planning permission for the development which comprises a three storey apartment block consisting of four, two-bedroom ground floor apartments and four, three-bedroom duplex apartments; as well as a separate two storey apartment block consisting of two, two-bedroom ground floor apartments with two, two-bedroom first floor apartment above.

The planning application also provides for 12 car parking spaces, bin storage, and "public and communal open space which are to service the proposed developments with private amenity spaces to service individual apartments". 

Mr Devlin had initially sought planning for 16 new homes in the planning application but Significant Further Information was provided to Louth County Council on 3 May, which included details that saw the proposed number of apartments reduced to 12. 

Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission for the development on 26 May 2023.
