OLIVER PLUNKETTS 1-17 NAOMH FIONNBARRA 1-10
Last Thursday night in Mell the hosts continued their winning streak to take care of plucky visitors Naomh Fionnbarra.
The foundation for Oliver Plunketts fifth league win in a row was very much laid in the first half. Hosts full forward Cian Brady was tormentor in chief on the night for the Plunketts as he struck the vital first half goal that had Stuart Reynolds’ men chasing the game throughout.
Jack Regan showed form for the Togher men, and he found the net during the second half. But Kristian Nolan and substitute Cian Matthews edged the league toppers over the line with ease.

STABANNON PARNELLS 3-16 GLYDE RANGERS 2-7
Newly promoted Stabannon Parnell’s have jumped to outright second in the Division 3A table after a fine performance over Glyde Rangers.
In a repeat of last year’s Junior final, Parnells had too much for the visitors on the night. Robert Callaghan’s first half goal sent them in 1-6 to 0-5 ahead at the half. That opening period showing from Harry Butterly teeing them up nicely for victory.
With Glyde unable to get the stops at the back, Brian Duffy was relied upon for scores. Both McKeever brothers Darren and Jack found the net, but the impact of Stabannon substitute Thomas McBride swung the game completely.
McBride rattled the net twice when introduced and with the opening programme of matches now completed, Parnells look to be set on a promotion tilt, while Gus Flynn’s side have it all to do.
