The Dundalk & District Old IRA Easter Commemoration took place at Dowdalshill Graveyard on the morning of Easter Sunday.
The annual event was organised by Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, Cllr Conor Keelan, and was attended by past and present Fianna Fáil members including Cllr John Sheridan, who was flag bearer, Senator Erin McGreehan, former Minister Dermot Ahern and former Ceann Comhairle Seamus Kirk. The Proclamation of Independence was read by Senator McGreehan.
