The Irish language magazine series, I Lár an Aonaigh, is back with a new series starting on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two Northern Ireland from Monday 13th February at 10pm.

The first episode will feature a performance by Dundalk singer-songwriter David Keenan performing his track Raving towards Byzantium

Over four weeks, presenters Máire Bhreathnach and Dáithí Ó Muirí are joined by reporter Seán Ó Baoill for a mix of stories, chat and some great musical performances.

I Lár an Aonaigh is made for BBC Gaeilge by Below The Radar TV with support from Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund.

The four-part serieswill include a variety of special guests including poet Theo Dorgan, actor Siobhán O’Kelly, author and musician Tristan Rosenstock and novelist and journalist Anna Heussaff.

Once again there will be a great mix of music, from traditional and indie folk to afrobeat.

There will also be performances from Belfast band Lonesome George, Donegal trad sensations Cathal Ó Curráin and Megan Nic Fhionnghaile and songbird Aoife Scott of the iconic Black family.

Series Producer Sinéad Ingoldsby said:

“It’s lovely to be back with another series of I Lár an Aonaigh and brilliant to finally have an audience back in studio too.

“We have a great mix of guests and music lined up again this year along with features celebrating artists of all descriptions - exploring everything from art activism to the revival of Irish language film, Brendan Behan 100 years on to Art Therapy and lots more."

Additional covertracks recorded by each of the artists will be available to watch online at bbc.co.uk/gaeilge or via the BBC Gaeilge Facebook page.
