Beko and Leinster GAA have today launched the 2024 Beko Club Champion, an initiative open to all GAA clubs in Leinster.

The Beko Club Champion accolade rewards and celebrates local GAA club heroes who go above and beyond to help their local community and club.

Last year Na Piarsaigh Blackrock club claimed the Louth prize with club volunteer Peter Begley being named one of the Beko Club Champions for 2023.

Celebrating its 8th year in partnering with Leinster GAA, Beko is encouraging people to enter by submitting details via a simple online mechanic.

To enter, people are asked to explain in no more than 200 words which volunteer/group in their club deserves to be a Beko Club Champion here

Alternatively, there is the option to upload a short video to a club’s social media platform using #BekoClubChampion.

Aiming to highlight the incredible volunteer work carried out by club members, nominations are now open, giving clubs a chance of winning €1,000 worth of GAA equipment.

Present on the day to launch the 2024 Beko Club Champion was Wexford hurling royalty Larry O’Gorman, Dublin Ladies Football star Nicole Owens and up and coming Offaly stalwart Adam Screeney

All Leinster GAA clubs are encouraged to enter before the closing date for submissions on Friday, 27th September with 12 clubs, one from each county to be awarded €1,000 worth of training equipment, as selected by an independent judging panel.

Speaking at the launch event, Cathaoirleach Comhairle Laighean Derek Kent said: “The support clubs across the Province have received from Beko over the last eight years has been nothing short of amazing.
"To date, our partnership has resulted in the distribution of over €220,000 worth of equipment to developing clubs and rewarding the hard work ongoing at a grassroots level across the Province”.

Shane Kelly, head of Sales Marketing, Beko Ireland added: We have been involved with Leinster GAA for eight years now and it is great to see that there is still incredible interest from clubs in this initiative and today we are delighted to announce that the 2024 Leinster GAA’s Beko Club Champion is now open for submissions

"It is great to be involved in such a worthy recognition and we look forward together and continue to reward volunteers in the future.”
