Friends of the Earth Dundalk are inviting the public to join their upcoming Climate Conversation on Wednesday, 24 September at 6.45pm in Dundalk Sports Hall, Muirhevna.

The event is billed as "part of a series linking lived experience of climate change with actions we can all take to ensure a just transition rather than repeat current inequalities."

The evening will focus on big picture perspectives on housing and the experience of people actively dealing with inadequate housing, energy poverty and lack of access to retrofitting initiatives. Guest speakers include academic and journalist Lorcan Sirr, Kevin Meenan, BOLD Climate Action, representatives from CATU, and local community activists. Agencies such as SEAI and Age Friendly Action will also be in attendance.

Organisers say: "Participants will have an opportunity to join discussion groups focusing on changes needed and how to build community and action around these justice issues. The event will conclude with collective recommendations for action, tools that individuals, groups and organisations can take forward in the drive for a just transition."
