Plans for new housing development outside Dundalk

Plans are underway for a new housing development outside Dundalk, with a planning application lodged in recent days.

Terry McKevitt has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development at Haynestown, Dundalk.

Planning is being sought for 14 houses, which would include four, two storey, three-bed detached dwellings and 10 three-bed two storey, semi-detached dwellings.

The planning application also provides for all associated site development works, including access roadway, public footpaths, open spaces, connection to existing sewerage system, boundary treatment and landscaping.

A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 13 September, with submissions due by 23 AUgust 2026.
