This week's Dundalk Democrat is in shops now, featuring:

  • Dundalk has fallen nine places in the latest Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey, ranking 34th out of 40 towns and cities, and was deemed 'Moderately Littered' by business group IBAL.
  • Sixteen new safety camera zones have become operational in Louth, with gardaí saying their primary purpose is to reduce speed-related collisions, lessen injuries and save lives.
  • The decision by Louth County Council to grant planning permission for a Large-scale Residential Development (LRD) of 502 homes at Haggardstown and Marshes Upper has been appealed by Blackrock Tidy Towns.
