A vigil will take place this evening at St Brigid’s Park in Dowdallshill for a baby boy who remains in a critical condition following a two car collision near Dundalk Stadium on Saturday night.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on the R132 at Dowdallshill at around 8.20pm.
The driver of the first car, a woman in her late 20s, was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries. A baby boy was also removed to the Children's University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle, a man in his early 50s, and the female passenger, a teenager, were removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries.

The N52 was closed for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place and has now re-opened for use.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
The vigil will take place at the Dowdallshill GFC grounds at 7.00pm.
