Week six of the Heineken-sponsored Dundalk and District Dart League showed that the quality of darts thrown across all divisions is not letting up for the foreseeable future.

In the top group, Northend Green versus The Punters had 36 x 100+ scores hit, with the highlight of the night being Simon Wykes (Player of the Match)  hitting a 146 checkout to help the Northend Green to a 5-1 victory.

It was a similar story out in Blackrock as Uncle Tom's Sparrows hosted the Bodhran Hawks, 36 x 100+ scores were also hit, and Wayne Fry had a 116 checkout in the penultimate game before Cian O'Rourke won the last game to secure a draw for the Hawks.

Meanwhile, a top-of-the-table Division Two clash took place out in Callans on the Castleblayney Road. The home team are nearly all new to the league, but that hasn't stopped them from being one of the teams towards the top of their Division.

But Mickey Gartland has added a bite to his Cobras team this year, and it showed with Mark Kerley, Frankie Quigley and Paddy Taaffe winning the first three games to put the visitors 3-0 up before Dylan Kirk pulled a game back.

But Mickey's wife, Marianne (Player of the Match), won the next game to secure the win for the Northend Cobras before Darragh Murphy reduced the deficit in the last game to leave the final result 4-2. In the six games played on the night, five of them went the distance.
