Dundalk racing driver Logan Hoey (16), competed in the last two rounds of this year's ICCR Junior Mini Championship at Mondello Park, at the weekend.
Unfortunately, Logan suffered some mechanical problems in the early rounds of the championship. Still, over the last few rounds, he worked his way up to second place in the championship, going into the last two rounds.

Qualifying took place in wet conditions, and Logan qualified in third place for race one and second for Sunday's second race.
In race one, Logan made a great start but slid wide at the first corner on the damp track and dropped to eighth place, but managed to finish the race in sixth position.
For race two, Logan made a great start and enjoyed a race-long battle with the 2025 championship winner, Leo Richardson, and TJ Taaffe from Ardee. Logan took the win ahead of TJ to secure second place in the 2025 championship.
Logan's success over the past three years in the ICCR Junior Mini championship is as follows: 2023 ICCR Junior Mini Championship - 3rd; 2024 ICCR Junior Mini Championship - 2nd; 2025 ICCR Junior Mini Championship – 2nd.
Logan said, “What a weekend. Thank you, everyone. It was a crazy weekend, lots of ups and downs, but we did it and got the first-place trophy in race two.
“This was a special one, a hard fight to get the place, and it worked in our favour. Congratulations to everyone who raced this weekend, and a huge thanks to my dad, who put so much hard work into getting me out there every race day.
“A massive thank you to Harry McGovern for bringing the positivity to us the whole weekend. He said we'd get first place this weekend, and we did it. As soon as we had him helping us, we’ve been getting mega results.
“Also, a huge thank you to our sponsors. Without our sponsors, we wouldn’t have been able to get to where we are today, and let’s hope we can continue this journey for the next season”
Logan and his family run team would like to thank his current sponsors, FPS - Fire Protection Specialists, Dynamite Fireworks, North East Electrical, Swan Rock Quarries, Duprint and Colleen Hoey Photography.
