Dundalk’s first team picked up a league win at the seventh time of asking with an away victory against relegation rivals Mullingar last Sunday the 6th.

Pace bowler Adarsh Hegde led the way for the town in the first innings, his first 5-wicket haul of the season preventing Mullingar from putting together any meaningful partnerships.

All-rounder Umer Khan returned to form with the bat in Dundalk’s chase – his season-high knock of 80 not out helping the firsts to a win in what promises to be a tight battle for Division 10 survival.

Elsewhere, Dundalk 2 were very narrowly held off in Clongowe’s Wood by mid-table Naas 2. Despite Lutfullah Sediqi’s dominant spell of 6-18 (Dundalk’s best bowling figures of 2025), a second-innings lower-order collapse saw the seconds lose by just 4 runs in their pursuit of 123.

In Sunday’s away fixture, Sourav Kunal and Mohammad Emran broke an all-time DCC record with a tenth-wicket partnership of 91 against Terenure 5.

However, a cold and rain-affected second innings gave the hosts a platform to comfortably chase down 212 with 7 overs to spare.

This weekend’s league fixtures: Wexford Wanderers 3 v Dundalk 2 (Sat Jul 19, away), Dundalk 3 v County Cavan 2 (Sun Jul 20, home).
