The death has occurred of Donal BRASSIL Dundalk Care Centre, Upper Merches, Dundalk, Louth / Tulla, Clare
Suddenly, on 14th June 2025, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and the staff of the Dundalk Care Centre. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, Bernadette, son Don, his parents Daniel and Bridget and sister Bríd. Loving Dad of Jim, Anna-Marie and Helen. Beloved grandfather of Mathieu and Gillian. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Mai and Lily, his brother Paddy, brother-in-law Brendan, his daughter-in-law Sharon, son-in-law Stéphane, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (A91 KW52, entrance on Castletown Road) on Monday, June 16th from 3pm-7pm. Funeral Mass in celebration of Donal's life will take place in St. Fursey's Church, Haggardstown (Eircode A91XH75) on Tuesday, June 17th at 3pm. Private cremation will follow.

The death has occurred of Seamus Bowhan Dunleer, Louth
The death has occurred of Seamus Bowhan, 1 St. Olivers Terrace, School Lane, Dunleer and late of Philipstown, Dunleer. Peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family, in his 78th year.
Seamus loving father of Denise Bolger, Jason, Patrice and Julie.
Predeceased by his wife Debbie, parents Patsy and Maggie, brothers William and Brendan, sisters Marie, Bronagh Brennan and Zita Lynch.
Survived by his daughters, son and their mother Rita, son-in-law Enda, daughter-in-law Doreen, grandchildren Kate, Hanna, Tom, Lucy, Darcie and Dan, brothers Pat, Kieran and Derek, sister Oonagh Morris, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, especially Eddie, Anne and Jim.
The family would like to thank the carers who looked after Seamus in recent months.
Reposing at The Village Saloon Dromin (A92 YE97) on Tuesday 17th June from 3pm-8pm.
Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Finnian's Church, Dromin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery (A92 E732).

The death has occurred of Oliver SMYTH 52 Garrybawn, Tom Bellew Avenue and formerly 261 Cedarwood Park, Dundalk, Louth
Peacefully in his 91st year, at his daughter’s home, in the care of his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen, son Paddy, grandson Kevin, granddaughter Sinead, parents Michael and Philomena and siblings June (in infancy), Audrey, Gerry and Michael. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Anna, Kathleen and Frances, sons Michael, Oliver and Desmond, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Desmond, sisters Charmaine, Pauline and Maria, extended family and friends.
Reposing at his daughter Kathleen’s home, 52 Garrybawn, Tom Bellew Avenue (A91 K6F4) on Monday, June 16th from 2pm-8pm. Removal on Tuesday, June 17th to the Church of the Holy Family (A91 K761), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery (A91 F598).
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, Palliative Care nurses, Sharon and the carers for all of the care and attention Oliver received in recent times and particularly for making him so comfortable in these last few days. Your kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.
