Gardaí investigate after car stolen in north Louth

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to Gardaí.

Gardaí are investigating the theft of a car in Drumad, Dundalk, which occurred on the evening of Wednesday, 8th April 2026. Investigations are ongoing, and Gardaí are appealing for any information from the public.

In a statement Gardaí said:

"Gardaí are investigating a theft of a car in Drumad, Dundalk in the evening of Wednesday 8th April 2026.

"Investigations are ongoing."

Meanwhile, Cooley Peninsula Community Alert has issued a reminder to residents and visitors following a series of thefts at walking trails and forest car parks in Ravensdale in recent days.

“Please leave nothing visible in your vehicles for thieves,” the group advised.

They noted that the Ravensdale area has experienced several thefts from vehicles recently and urged everyone to remain vigilant.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to Gardaí.
