Cooley Community Alert has announced the return of its popular free property marking service, responding to strong local demand and continuing efforts to deter theft across the peninsula.
Residents are being encouraged to take advantage of the initiative to have valuable items permanently marked. The service can be used on a wide range of non-glass items, including tools of all sizes, laptops, bicycles, scooters and golf clubs. Cooley Community Alert says it is an ideal opportunity for people to have items received over Christmas marked for identification.
Property marking sessions will take place at several locations in north Louth over the coming weeks. On Sunday, February 1, the service will be available at St Pat’s GAA from 11am to 12.30pm, Cooley Kickhams from 1pm to 2pm, and Omeath Garda Station from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
Further sessions are planned for Saturday, February 7, at St Pat’s GAA, Lordship from 9am to 12pm, Táin Omeath from 12.30pm to 2.30pm (now fully booked), and Cooley Kickhams from 3pm to 4pm.
On Sunday, February 8, sessions will run at Omeath Garda Station from 11am to 12pm, Cooley Credit Union from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, and St Pat’s Lordship from 2pm to 3pm.
