Dundalk courthouse
A man who was seen getting out of a car, after gardaí responded to reports of a man "breaking into vehicles" was found in possession of a blade when he was searched at Dundalk Garda station, the local district court heard last week.
Aaron McKeown McEntee (24) who has staying in emergency accommodation in B & B in the town was charged with being in possession of a blade on April 25th last year and with getting into a mechanically propelled vehicle while it was stationary without the consent of the owner at Rampart Mill on the same date.
A garda told the court how he saw the defendant exiting a Toyota Yaris from the front passenger side and he was apprehended after a short foot chase.
A small blade, €11.50 in change, a bulb and black gloves were found when he was searched.

The witness said Mr McKeown McEntee, who had no previous convictions at the time, admitted possession of the blade and said it was "a shaving blade”.
The Defence solicitor said his client was addicted to tablets at the time but has since taken steps in relation to that and is engaging with drug counselling at the moment.
Referring to the blade, he added “it was never intended to use it”.
Judge Michael Ramsey marked that charge taken into consideration and imposed a €250 fine for the remaining matter.
