A shoplifter, who was involved in the theft of €1,200 worth of perfume and aftershave, has been banned from entering Louth as part of a suspended sentence imposed at Dundalk district court.
Jimmy Wall of Glenshane Grove, Tallaght, Dublin 24 is not allowed to enter the county for the next two years.
The court heard last Wednesday that the defendant entered All Care Pharmacy on Main Street in Dunleer with two women shortly after 1pm on June 12th last year.
He stayed near the entrance and selected different bottles of aftershave and handed them over to them. The goods were never recovered.

The Defence solicitor said his client had a drug addiction at the time.
When Judge Nicola Andrews asked what he was doing in County Louth, the solicitor said his client was binging on drugs at the time, which he said was a turbulent time in his life, while Mr Wall told the court "I was staying there at the time".
Judge Andrews imposed a three month sentence, which she suspended on him entering a bond to be of good behaviour for two years, and on condition that he doesn't enter into County Louth during that period and warned him if he does he risks being arrested and having the suspended jail term activated.
