Man dies in hospital following incident on Louth- Armagh border

As part of the ongoing investigation, three men aged 27, 34, and 42 were arrested. They have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have confirmed that a man in his 40s has died in hospital following an incident in the Edenappa Road area of Jonesborough during the early hours of Saturday, 31st May.

The man had sustained serious head injuries as a result of the incident. A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

It is understood the man is from the north Louth area.

As part of the ongoing investigation, three men aged 27, 34, and 42 were arrested. They have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives continue to appeal for information. Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have relevant CCTV or video footage is urged to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference CW 35 31/05/25.
