A car was seized and several drivers were stopped by Gardaí after a reported illegal car meet near the border on Saturday night.

Dundalk Roads Policing Unit responded to reports of dangerous driving and reckless behaviour at the unsanctioned gathering, which posed serious risks to other motorists in the area.

One vehicle was stopped and found to have tinted windows and the driver was found to be an unaccompanied learner. Gardaí seized the car at the scene.
