A woman with over 200 previous convictions was given a six month suspended sentence at Dundalk District Court last week for the theft of 10 cans of Red Bull from a local shop.

Kathleen McDonagh (59) with an address on the Castletown Road, Dundalk admitted committing the offence at Day Break, Bay Estate, Dundalk on March 22nd last year.

The Defence solicitor stressed that since his client was last before the court, she has been extremely ill and has to have blood transfusions.

Ms. McDonagh had 203 previous convictions, 59 of which were for theft but the solicitor emphasised that the offence was committed almost 12 months ago.
