A GoFundMe appeal has been established in recent days to support the family of David McBride of Station Road, Drumleck, Castlebellingham, Co Louth, following a tragic accident in Cavan earlier this week.

The fundraiser was set up by friends and loved ones in the hope of easing some of the financial burden now facing David’s family, particularly in helping to cover funeral expenses during this difficult time.

David is described as a devoted husband to his wife Paula and a loving father to their six young sons — Conor, Danny, Oisín, Felím, Culín and Dathí — who idolised him.
