Marshes Shopping Centre
As 2025 drew to a close, Dundalk's Marshes Shopping Centre celebrated a significant milestone - its 20th anniversary. The Centre welcomed new tenants in November and December including Lovisa, Golden Discs and Camile Thai.
2026 is also off to a strong start with the signing of Next who will take over the former New Look store. The Marshes say the strategic expansion underscores their commitment to delivering “an exceptional shopping experience for both the local community and visitors” and that “footfall has continued to climb year after year, reinforcing the centre’s position as a dominant force within its demographic and catchment area.”
Next
Next is set to join Marshes Shopping Centre, marking one of the first major signings since the opening of its Henry Street store in 2018 – some eight years ago. The retailer will take possession of Unit 6 (11,592 sq. ft / 1,077 sq. m) over the coming week to commence its store fit out, further strengthening Marshes’ fashion offering. They have taken a new 10-year lease on market terms. Next plc is a British multinational retailer and FTSE 100 company, renowned for its clothing, footwear, and home products. With over 700 stores globally and a strong online presence, Next is the UK’s largest clothing retailer by sales and a leader in retail innovation
Lovisa
Opening in December 2025, the brand signed a 10-year lease for Unit 29 (1,058 sq. ft.) and offers its full range of jewellery and piercing services. Lovisa was founded in Sydney in 2010 by Brett Blundy and Shane Fallscheer as part of BB Retail Capital’s vision to create a fast-fashion jewellery brand. It quickly grew from its first store to over 1,000 locations in more than 50 countries, including Australia, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Lovisa’s success lies in its ability to deliver trend-led, affordable jewellery inspired by global runway and street styles, with up to 150 new designs introduced weekly. The brand went public on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2014 and has expanded through acquisitions, including Beeline GmbH’s European stores in 2020. Today, Lovisa is a global leader in fashion accessories, offering piercing services and a vertically integrated model that ensures rapid product turnover and competitive pricing.
Golden Discs
The brand occupies Unit 36 (1,782 sq. ft.) under a 10-year lease. They opened their store, weekend of the 14th of November to a very successful opening, with a large turnout of patrons, hosting a lot of pre-Christmas gift ideas. Established in Dublin in 1962 as the Trans-Atlantic Record Agency, Golden Discs became Ireland’s oldest and largest home entertainment retailer. The name “Golden Discs” was adopted in 1966, and the brand thrived through the vinyl, cassette, CD, and DVD eras, operating over 100 stores at its peak in the 1980s and 1990s. Known for pioneering services like home delivery and gig ticket sales, Golden Discs weathered industry upheavals caused by digital streaming and file-sharing. After examinership in 2009, the company reinvented itself with a strong focus on vinyl records, pop culture merchandise, and online sales, which now outperform physical stores. Vinyl accounts for up to 50% of store revenue, making Golden Discs a cultural icon for music lovers and collectors.
Camile Thai
The brand opened in Food Court Unit 4 (223 sq. ft.) under a 10-year lease. Founded in Dublin in 2010 by entrepreneur Brody Sweeney, Camile Thai set out to redefine takeaway dining by offering healthy, restaurant-quality Thai cuisine. The brand has grown to over 50 outlets across Ireland and the UK, driven by a commitment to sustainability and innovation. Camile was the first in Ireland to introduce compostable packaging and later became a pioneer in displaying carbon footprint ratings on menus. It sources locally where possible, uses water-saving technology, and maintains food waste below 1%. Camile’s ethos combines convenience with wellness, offering calorie-counted dishes, vegan options, and tech-driven delivery solutions. Its sustainability initiatives have positioned Camile as a leader in ethical food entrepreneurship.

Colleen Fox, Associate Director at Lanthorn, the centre’s owner and asset manager said: “We are thrilled to welcome such strong brands to the Marshes. Since acquiring the Centre in September 2023, our focus has been on strengthening the tenant mix and elevate the overall customer experience. This latest addition reflects our continued commitment to offering greater choice, quality, and variety to everyone who visits The Marshes.”
These transactions were managed and negotiated by Bernadine Hogan, Executive Director, CBRE, and Jennifer Mulholland, Director, Bannon, acting on behalf of the landlord.
“It’s a privilege to continue supporting Lanthorn and Marshes Shopping Centre as we welcome such a strong mix of new tenants,” said Bernadine Hogan. “These brands bring fresh energy and choice to the centre, and the opportunities created by recent vacancies allowed us to refine the tenant mix to better reflect what customers want.”
Jennifer Mulholland added, “The calibre of tenants joining Marshes speaks to the centre’s enduring appeal and commercial strength. Together, these additions reinforce our commitment to delivering a vibrant, dynamic shopping experience for the community.”
