A Dundalk-based events and communications company is one of the stars of a new national campaign showcasing the benefits of working in local enterprise hubs.

High Tide Experience Management, founded by local entrepreneur Ali Molloy, features in the latest Connected Hubs campaign. The initiative highlights how businesses can grow faster and more sustainably by working from regional hubs like Creative Spark Downtown in Dundalk.

The agency works with clients across Ireland, Europe, and the US, creating conferences, roadshows, leadership sessions, and product launches for companies of all sizes.

“Events are something you attend. Experiences are something you feel,” says Ali. “We build experiences that help people and brands connect in meaningful ways. As the company has grown, flexibility has become key.

“Sometimes we need two desks. Sometimes six. Sometimes eight,” Ali explains. “Our projects move fast, so our workspace has to move with us. Creative Spark Downtown gives us that flexibility — it’s a really modern way of working.”

After exploring different workspace options, Ali chose Creative Spark Downtown for its ability to scale with the business and for the support of its hub community.

“Everything is here — it’s clean, warm, flexible — the perfect environment for our team,” she says. “We were up and running within a week. No leases, no extra setup — just plug in and go.”

Working alongside other creative and entrepreneurial teams has also helped High Tide thrive.

“Those chats over coffee keep us on our toes,” says Ali. “You start to see your own work differently. It’s cross-industry learning in real time — and we love sharing what we’ve learned with others.”

Creative Spark Hub Manager Ciara Breen says the community ethos is what makes the hub special.

“Trust between hub managers and members is key,” she explains. “For many small teams, we become that extra team member — someone to bounce ideas off or help them find the right support. High Tide embodies that collaborative spirit.”

Connected Hubs Manager Stephen Carolan says High Tide’s story captures the essence of what the national network is about.

“High Tide shows the real power of hubs,” he said. “They’re not just about affordable space – they create communities where creativity, collaboration, and local enterprise can thrive. Businesses like High Tide are driving growth and innovation into towns like Dundalk.”

Creative Spark Downtown, developed as part of the Creative Spark network, is one of 385 hubs nationwide now part of the Connected Hubs network. Together, they offer more than 5,000 desks and 620 meeting rooms across Ireland.

The hubs initiative, led by the Western Development Commission and supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht', is part of the Government’s Our Rural Future strategy. It aims to bring jobs, innovation, and investment back to towns and villages.

“Enterprise hubs like Creative Spark Downtown are helping people stay and grow their businesses locally,” added Stephen Carolan. “They’re creating new opportunities and helping towns like Dundalk become vibrant centres of enterprise again.”
