A large number of women in business from across Louth gathered at the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk, on September 11th for AI on Your Terms, an interactive event hosted by Network Ireland Louth.

The session, led by marketing strategist and consultant Tamara Howard, gave attendees a no-jargon, practical introduction to how artificial intelligence can be used to boost productivity and marketing impact in everyday business.

 - Write stronger, clearer prompts to get useful results.

 - Repurpose content across platforms to save time.

 - Use AI tools to improve research, productivity, and marketing campaigns.

 - Apply simple guardrails around privacy, accuracy, and tone of voice.

The workshop mixed live demonstrations with hands-on exercises, giving participants a chance to experiment with tools directly from their phones.

Key takeaways included a repeatable workflow—brainstorm → draft → validate → ship—and the reminder that AI is an ideas tool, not an answers tool.

Tamara outlined shifts expected in the next 12–18 months, including more integrated AI in everyday apps, agentic AI systems that can execute tasks with light oversight, and the growing importance of data accuracy and governance.

Network Ireland Louth President, Nicola Connolly Byrne, said: “Our members are curious about AI but also cautious.

"This event gave them clarity, confidence, and a set of practical tools they can use immediately. It was about empowerment, not overwhelm.”
