Gráinne and Claire McEvoy
Local floral studio Meadow Blooms, a home-based business founded and run by mother-daughter team Claire and Gráinne McEvoy, has been named a finalist in the 2025 Kay’s Flower School Florist of the Year Awards – one of the most respected awards in the floristry industry across Ireland and the UK.
Nestled in the heart of Dundalk, Meadow Blooms is known for its natural, romantic, and wildly creative floral arrangements for weddings, events, and everyday moments.
What began as a passion project has bloomed into a thriving studio, with Claire and Gráinne’s creative bond and deep love for flowers at its heart.
“This nomination means the world to us,” said Gráinne, co-owner of Meadow Blooms.
“To be recognised at this level, alongside some of the best florists internationally is a huge honour – especially as a small home-based studio.”
The Kay’s Flower School Florist of the Year competition is known for spotlighting exceptional florists who show artistic innovation, sustainable practices, and outstanding client care.
Finalists were handpicked by a panel of industry leaders after a rigorous selection process.
“As a mother and daughter team, this journey has been incredibly special,” added Claire.
“We pour so much heart into everything we create, and to see that acknowledged on an international stage is incredibly rewarding.”
The winner will be announced at the Kay’s Flower School awards ceremony online on Friday the 8th of August 2025.
