The Argentine Ambassador Ana Laura Cachaza and her assistant Nicolas Vidal visited Dundalk recently on the invitation of Dundalk Chamber. The purpose of the visit was to deepen business ties between Dundalk and Argentina.

The Ambassador had a busy morning meeting several companies involved in manufacturing and in services.

She stated afterwards that she was hopeful that trade in both directions could be increased.

She inquired into the impact that Brexit was having on Dundalk as a border town. Paddy Malone, PRO, explained that the Windsor Accord had successfully addressed the issues with trade but not with services.

Hanna McDonnell (Vice President) and Paddy explained that both Dundalk and Newry Chambers had and will continue to encourage trade between the two parts of the island.
