The local community has been left shocked and disappointed after a mosaic was stolen from Blackrock park, with an attempt also made to remove a second piece.

The mosaics, which were created by a dedicated park volunteer several years ago, have been a cherished feature of the area. The theft was highlighted in a social media post, urging the public to keep an eye out for the missing artwork.

“If you know anyone who might have been given or offered it for Valentine’s Day—let them know it’s ours, and we’d like it back,” read the post, hinting that the stolen piece may have been taken as a gift.
