Louth Leader Partnership have given €200,000 towards the restoration of the old Market House in Dunleer.

Louth Leader Partnership have given €200,000 towards the restoration of the old Market House in Dunleer.

The Glen Dimplex Corporation has already donated €200,000 towards the project and the funding is now there to convert the building into a state-of-art community centre.

The Dunleer Community Development Board has appointed V&P Matthews builders to carry out the work which will start next week.

“We would like to thank everyone who has worked with us to meet the requirements needed for approval of this grant,” said Board secretary Mary-Rose Rafferty. “We would especially like to thank the board of Louth Leader Partnership. This shows real confidence in the people of Dunleer, and this great community project.” See full report on page 8.
