Local singer-songwriter Alice Robinson will be launching her new EP 'Rise' at An Táin Arts Centre Saturday, September 15.
On the night Alice will also premiere a screening of her new music video and will have support from musical guest Tara Tine.
Rise is with filled with eloquent melancholic lyrical undertones which explore themes relating to inequality in modern society. An emotive performance on every song, Alice and her band create musical and lyrical vocabularies that are unique and deserve our critical attention.
The music video was shot and directed by local filmmaker, community youth worker and educator, Colm Mullen who has been involved in film/photography and community arts education for over ten years. Colm's work focuses on meaningful, collaboratively based projects.
And this is no different; with the support of Louth Film-Maker’s Society and Club Sonic T.V; the production saw a large number of local individuals join forces to create a unique, compelling and thought-provoking short film which uses a fairy-tale narrative to reflect some of the shortcomings of our modern human nature.
This event is a once-off opportunity to for audiences to be a part of something special before its general release.
Tickets €5:00 and available from: www.antain.ie
Limited tickets for this event, so early booking is advised.
Rise is available on 21.09.18 on Bandcamp, Spotify, Google Play, iTunes, YouTube, Amazon Play, etc.
