There will be a Trad Session in Toales this Sunday

Here's what's going on in Toales Live Venue on Crowe Street in Dundalk this week.

Thursday 12th March - Fireside Sessions presents Shock Sorrow  + Dubh Lee - Show starts 9pm - Free admission.

Another Fireside Session brings Shock Sorrow back to Toales on Thursday 12 March, joined by Dubh Lee. Music starts at 9pm and, true to the spirit of the series, admission is completely free.

Now a trusted midweek fixture for original music in Dundalk, Fireside Sessions offers audiences an up-close live experience in a relaxed pub setting. With no cover charge and a sharp 9PM start, it’s an easy way to catch quality acts without the weekend rush.

Shock Sorrow have built a strong following through heartfelt songwriting, powerful vocals and expressive guitar work, delivering a live show that balances raw intensity with melodic craft.

Supporting on the night is Dubh Lee, a Dublin-based singer-songwriter whose music blends folk, blues and rock with honest storytelling and a commanding stage presence.

Kismet Theatre Company presents Misfits Cabaret - A night of rock musicals and talent happening at Toales Live Venue on March 13, 2026 at 7:30 PM.

This is the fourth electrifying production by Kismet Theatre Company in Dundalk, and they’re only getting started.

The evening promises a night of stellar vocals, fearless performances, and outstanding talent — all delivered with attitude from a cast of unbelievably talented performers.

So come with friends or come solo, once you’re with these misfits, you’re exactly where you belong.

Sunday 15th March - Trad Session from 6pm - Free admission

Music lovers are invited to a lively traditional session at Toales this Sunday, 15 March, with tunes getting underway from 6pm.

The free event promises an evening of live traditional music, good company and plenty of atmosphere in one of Dundalk’s best-known pubs. With no admission charge, everyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy the session.

Taking place on Mother’s Day, this session offers a relaxed way for families and friends to celebrate the occasion while enjoying live trad in the heart of Dundalk.

Monday 16th March - The Twisted Sisters + Messy Avocado + Catherine McCrystal - Doors Open 8pm - Tickets €12.50 on Eventbrite / €15 on the night

Live music fans are in for a treat this St Patrick’s Eve as The Twisted Sisters headline a night of original music at Toales on Monday, March 16, with doors opening at 8pm.

Hailing from Northern Ireland, The Twisted Sisters are known for their high-energy blend of folk, punk and “Folk’n’Roll”, delivering exuberant performances packed with catchy hooks and playful spirit.

Support comes from local favourites Messy Avocado, whose upbeat alt-folk and rock-tinged sets are full of festival energy, while singer-songwriter Catherine McCrystal opens the night with heartfelt songs rooted in Americana, folk and country.

Located on Crowe Street in Dundalk, Toales has become a key home for original live music in the region, regularly showcasing both emerging and established artists.

Tuesday 17th March - St Paddy's Party feat. Lenny & The Lentil & Eugene O'Hanlon and Friends - Show Starts 4pm - Free admission

Dundalk is set for a proper St. Patrick’s Day Party at Toales on Tuesday, March 17th, with live music running from 4–6pm and free entry all afternoon.

Soundtracking the celebrations are two standout Dundalk acts: Eugene O’Hanlon and Friends, and Lenny & The Lentil.

A familiar and much-loved presence on the local circuit, Eugene O’Hanlon delivers rich, melodic songs rooted in story and tradition, while Lenny & The Lentil brings wild harmonies and contemporary folk energy that’s tailor-made for a St. Patrick’s Day crowd.

Expect a lively room, top-quality live music and the welcoming atmosphere that Toales is known for — great tunes, good company and pints flowing freely.

It’s the perfect place to gather with friends, soak up some traditional music and start the celebrations in style.
And the entertainment doesn’t stop there.

Later that evening the energy shifts from session to singalong as Nicky’s Karaoke gets underway from 9pm, giving anyone brave enough the chance to grab the mic and keep the party going long into the night.
