There is loads of live music at Toales in Dundalk again this week.

Thursday 29th May - Toales' Fireside Sessions presents Clara Byrne + Joshua King at 9pm. Free admission

Toales' Fireside Sessions, the town’s intimate, free-admission acoustic series held inside the bar, welcomes back acclaimed singer-songwriter Clara Byrne on Thursday, May 29 at 9 pm.

A BIMM Dublin music graduate, Clara has toured Ireland and performed abroad in Berlin and San Francisco, supporting acts like Wallis Bird, Cathy Davey, Mick Pyro, and Neil Hannon.

She finds her lyrical inspiration in the world around her and seeks solitude from that world in the music she creates, with UK reviewer Get In Her Ears describing Clara's music as “a poignant reflection of the pressures and contradictions we encounter living under capitalism… (with) sincere lyrics and rich vocals”.

Local favourite Joshua King opens the night.

Saturday 31st May - Toales' Battle of the Bands – Fomorian/Killjoy/Mr Pink/Locus Columna. Doors open 8pm  - admission only €5

In honour of the late Eileen Kirk, Toales Rock Bar’s Battle of the Bands returns for Round Three on Saturday, May 31, featuring four electrifying acts vying for a €500 grand prize and the 2025 trophy.

Local acts Fomorian and Killjoy, with Belfast’s Mr Pink and Dublin’s Locus Columna, trade blows by delivering their best stage show packed full of original material.

All proceeds benefit the North Louth Hospice, so every ticket sold helps a vital local cause.

Whether you’re 18 or 80, come out to support emerging talent, raise a glass, and experience a night of fierce competition, community spirit, and unforgettable live music.

Sunday 1st June – Sylva +Auldsy + TCOL at 8pm – admission €8 / €5 students

Toales is delighted to welcome Sylva to the stage, a rising hip-hop artist and producer whose work showcases his knack for inventive beats and razor-sharp lyricism.

Drawing inspiration from genre-defining visionaries like Kanye West and Daft Punk, he pushes boundaries with bold, outside-the-box production choices.

To experience his signature style, stream his latest single “Fresh” on all major platforms.
