Keane Connolly McGorman, which is a dynamic quartet bringing a fresh energy to the rich traditions of Irish music, will perform in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on Friday May 30th at 8.30pm.

Featuring four of the country’s most respected traditional musician, Pádraic Keane (uilleannpipes), Aidan Connolly (fiddle), Fergus McGorman (flute),and Ruairí McGorman (bouzouki/guitar, the group combines deep-rooted musicianship with a compelling sense of innovation and artistry.

The group released their debut album, Keane Connolly McGorman, in December 2023 on the highly regarded Raelach Records label, with the support of the Arts Council of Ireland, which received widespread critical acclaim.

The Irish Echo described it as “a brilliant album that I think everyone should own,” while other reviewers have praised its “deep respect for tradition with a spark of modern flair.”

Keane Connolly McGorman made a significant impact on the traditional music scene throughout 2024 and into 2025, with performances at a wide number of venues and prestigious festivals.

In 2025, the group was honoured with nominations for Best Folk Group and Best Folk Album at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, a testament to their artistry, creativity, and growing influence.

With a deep reverence for past masters like Paddy Cronin and Denis Murphy, and an exciting, modern approach to ensemble playing, Keane Connolly McGorman offers a compelling live experience rooted in tradition and delivered with flair.
