Calling all Louth creatives! Introducing the Creative Brew at An Táin

Introducing The Creative Brew at Dundalk's An Táin

An Táin Arts Centre has launch The Creative Brew, a fresh initiative bringing artists together over coffee and conversation. The first gathering takes place on Friday, April 18th, at 11am at An Táin Arts Centre, and creatives from all disciplines are invited to join.

Led by Subhashini Goda, a multi-disciplinary dance artist, this relaxed meet-up is an opportunity to share your practice, exchange ideas, and connect with like-minded creatives. Whether you’re a theatre maker, musician, costume designer, dancer, or artist of any kind, you are welcome.

Beyond just networking, they hope this space will grow into a supportive community where artists can discuss funding opportunities, share resources, and collaborate on future projects. Whether you're new to the area or a longtime resident, this is a chance to engage with a vibrant, diverse artistic network.

Subhashini is a multidisciplinary dance artist and academic from Chennai, India, now based in Co. Louth.

Specialising in bharatanatyam, she has presented her work at numerous festivals and venues, including Mother Tongues Festival, Dancer from the Dance: Festival of Irish Choreography, Clonmel Junction Arts Festival, Cashel Arts Festival, Scene + Heard, Chester Beatty Library, and Imagine Arts Festival.

She was also the 2024 Emma O’Kane Bursary recipient and the 2024-25 Weft Studio Artist with Dublin Fringe and is currently focused on evolving her choreographic voice, exploring cross-cultural collaborations that reflect her changing relationship with Indian dance traditions.

Director of An Táin Arts Centre, Paul Hayes says: “We know that working in the arts can sometimes feel isolating, so we wanted to create a space where creatives can connect, share experiences, and build a stronger artistic community here in Louth. Whether you're new to the area or have been here for years, this is an opportunity to meet like-minded people and explore new possibilities together.”

The Creative Brew’s first meeting is Friday 18th April at 11am at An Táin Arts Centre. Registration is required via An Táin Arts Centre’s website or here: https://www.antain.ie/event/the-creative-brew/
