The Big House on 6th to 8th November in An Táin
An Táin Arts Centre is delighted to welcome back inaugural Writer in Residence, Conor McGinnity, to debut his show, The Big House on 6th to 8th November, produced in association with An Táin Arts Centre.
Rose rails against her life of captivity. She married the son of local farmer, Big John, but instead of becoming lady of the manor, she’s little more than a servant.
Enter Marty, a lonely farmhand with little in his life. All he wants is a warm bed and a good woman. Rose spots her opening. Big John is quick to remind her of her responsibilities to this family though.
The promises she made. For better or worse.
Don't miss the chance to see this intimate performance. Starring Paul McGee, Eleanor Dempsey who is also a member of An Táin Arts Centre’s Theatre Company in Residence, Chalk on the Wall, and Conor Whearty.
Paul Hayes, Director of An Táin Arts Centre said:“Conor first presented me with a draft of this script when he was our writer in residence, and I’m delighted to see it come to a full production, in our studio theatre.
“It’s a really evocative play that I think our audiences will really appreciate.”
