RIP Dylan Commins
There is a great wave of shock and heartbreak across County Louth following the tragic death of a young man, along with four of his friends, who all died in a car crash near Dundalk.
Dylan Commins, who was in his early 20s, was from Coole, Ardee in Louth and died tragically on 15th November 2025.
Dylan was among one of five young people who lost their lives in a fatal car crash on the L3168 in the townland of Gibstown at around 9pm on Saturday last.
His tragic and sudden death has caused grief and heartbreak across Louth and the entire country and messages have poured in on RIP.ie and social media from those who knew and loved him and from those wishing to send condolences to his family.
Dylan was predeceased by his grandparents Tommy, Peggy and Tom. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his parents Thomas and Denise, sisters Lauren and her partner Finn, Jessica and her partner Colm and Sarah, granny Sheila, aunts and uncles Brendan (Ann), Claire (John), Suzanne (John), Kitty (Gary), Margaret (Brian) and Denis (Aelish), cousins, relatives and his wide circle of trusted friends.
Funeral arrangements have been made for Dylan who will repose at his home in Coole, Ardee on Wednesday and Thursday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
Removal will be on Friday at 1.15 pm to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady in Ardee, arriving for funeral mass at 2.00 pm.

Burial will be afterwards in Old St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family have requested that there be family flowers only and no Mass Cards please.
A notice has been issued regarding parking: To accommodate those wishing to pay their respects, we kindly ask attendees to park at PJK Structural Steel (Eircode A92 PF9C). A shuttle bus will be provided to accommodate mourners.
Emotional messages have been left on RIP.ie from parents, friends, neighbours and local people in Louth, from those who knew and loved Dylan, with one mourner writing,
"Our hearts break for your unbearable loss. We will pray for you all as you face this terrible terrible journey without your treasured son Dylan. May God give you strength to face the road ahead and may Dylan rest in peace with his friends until you meet him again".

Another message said, "I hold your hand as one mother who has lost her darling son to another. Our beloved children are asleep waiting for the return of Jesus Christ who died for them and promised to raise them with us forever".
"I am heartbroken for this beautiful boy, his lovely smiley face will forever be etched on my mind. To Dylan's family, i am so sorry for your loss, no parent should experience such grief, its hard to make sense of it all. May his beautiful gentle soul rest in peace, sending you all so much," another person said.
"Our most heartfelt and deepest sympathies to you all Denise, Tommy, Laura and Jessica and to all extended Commins families. There are no words on this shockingly sad news. Dylan was an incredible young man, he was kind, unselfish, and such a pleasant young man all of which we only experience in recent weeks. May Dylan Rest in Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all," another person said.
