The man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment

A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital following a house fire in Ardee.

Gardaí say they responded to reports of a fire at a domestic residence in Ardee, in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 30th July.

The incident occurred at around 2am and local fire services attended.

The man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment.

The scene is currently held for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.
