No change at the top in Louth GAA for 2017

It’s a case of as you are in 2017 after last Monday’s Louth GAA Convention in Darver passed without any changes to the current county board.

John Mitchels’ Des Halpenny was ratified for another year as chairperson while vice-chairperson Peter Moore (O’Raghallaigh’s), secretary Fra Kieran (Clan na Gael), assistant secretary Sean Carroll (Ardee St Mary’s), treasurer Aidan Berrill (Naomh Mairtin) and assistant treasurer Padraig O’Connor (St Patrick’s) were all returned for another term.

PRO Bob Doheny (St Kevin’s), Central Council Delegate Paddy McMahon (Sean O’Mahony’s) and Children’s Officer Stephen O’Connor (St Patrick’s) will also stay in place.

Stephen O’Brien of Pearse Og was elected the Irish Language/Cultural Officer with Dreadnots clubman Paul Aspell announced as the new Coaching Officer.

The Leinster Council Delegates for 2017 are Pat Toner (Dowdallshill) and Declan Byrne (O’Connells). Delegates to Congress are Aidan Berrill (Naomh Mairtin) and Declan Byrne (O’Connell’s) with Des Halpenny, Fra Kieran, Aidan Berrill and Bob Doheny the Delegates to Leinster Convention.
