The death has occurred of John Gallagher of Muirhevna, Dublin Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth and formerly of Dungloe, Co. Donegal
Peacefully, in the tender care of the staff of Louth County Hospital on Thursday, 29th October 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, John Dan and Annie.
Johnnie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Éilis, son Séan, daughter-in-law Aleks, granddaughter Lola, daughter Méabh, her partner Roy, grandchildren Patrick and Carly, their dad Sam, son Feargal, brothers-in-law Art and Pat, sisters-in-law Páraicín, Una, Margaret, Monika and Clare, nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family, and all his wonderful neighbours and amazing friends, especially his former work colleagues in DKIT.
Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Saturday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Sunday afternoon from his home at 1.10pm to the Church of the Holy Family, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. The death has occurred of Eileen (Lila) Corbally (née Mackin) of Old Chapel Lane, Ardee, and formerly of Mills of Louth, Co Louth
Peacefully, at Moorehall Lodge on Thursday 29 October 2026, aged 79 years, following a long illness. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Kathleen Mackin, sister Kathleen Kelly, brother-in-law Seamus Quinn and members of the Corbally family.
Eileen will be sadly missed by her adoring husband Francie, loving sisters Bernadette (Finnegan) and Patricia (Quinn), her treasured nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, brothers-in-law Gerard Finnegan and Peadar Kelly, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at The Finlay Funeral Home, Patrick Tierney Street, Ardee, on Friday, 30th October, from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 31st October, at 10am in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, followed by burial in Tallanstown Cemetery. House strictly private, please.
