UPDATE 8am: The M1 has repened this morning.
UPDATE 7.30PM: The northbound lanes remain closed after fire.
An lorry with a load of straw is on fire on the M1 motorway northbound between Junction 17 and Junction 18 near Dundalk.
Emergency services are at the scene.
Traffic is backed up for several kilometres.
Motorists are advised to avoided the area if possible.
