There were wild scenes as the Mary Wallopers rocked the Main Stage at Electric Picnic on Saturday as they urged revellers to “embrace the muck.”
As the Dundalk band took the stage, they said, “What’s the f**king craic, are you well? Are you wet?” before saying, “we love seeing you covered in muck and sh*te and dirt and hopefully by the end of the gig, you’ll be covered in even more.”
As some fans began throwing pints in anticipation during their opening song, the lads shouted to the crowd, “I saw people throwing pints, that’s good energy!”
The crowd got so wrapped up in the lads’ foot-stomping performance, they began doing jigs in rain ponchos, dancing and even slinging muck.
