Neil Keeble represents Louth's CúChulainn Archers at charity event in Tyrone
Neil and Siobhán Keeble represented CúChulainn Archers at Drumquin Archery Club's Indoor 3D Charity Shoot in County Tyrone, which raised £1,500 for Care for Cancer, while clubmate Andy Tait won gold and bronze medals at competitions in Antrim.
CúChulainn Archers were on the roads again this weekend, travelling to competitions and fun charity shoots around the country. First up was the Muckamore Company of Archers in County Antrim.
There to represent CúChulainn Archers in a WA 18, was Andy Tait. Competing in the Masters Barebow category, Andy noticed something amiss with his bow, but, unable to ascertain exactly what was wrong, he nonetheless finished in 3rd place.
Sunday saw Andy return to Muckamore CA having sorted out the problem. This time it was a UK Record Status Portsmouth Round and the Des Heading Memorial competition.
Everything was going well with his bow and setup; Andy went on to win the competition. The competition for the Des Heading Memorial Trophy finished on a one-arrow shoot-off between the top archers in each category.
As Andy was the top Barebow archer, he was part of the one-arrow shoot-off, but unfortunately just missed out on the trophy. Results at Muckamore for Andy were: Saturday Bronze medal, and Sunday Gold medal.
Two more members of CúChulainn Archers were in Drumquin Archery Club in CountyTyrone at their Indoor 3D Charity shoot.
Shooting in the Barebow category, Neil and Siobhán Keeble had a great day. This was not a competition, just a Fun Shoot for charity in a great venue and with great people, and it raised a brilliant £1500 for 'Care for Cancer' charity.
