The Finance Committee meet on Wednesday May 8 in the Parochial House, the Pastoral Area Resource Team will meet on Thursday May 2 at 8.00pm in Knockbridge and the Parish Pastoral Council meet on Tuesday May 28 at 8.00pm in the Parochial House. The Armagh Diocesan Pilgrimage takes place on May 26 the feast of the Most Holy Trinity.


Kilkerley Badminton Club continues in the Community Centre each Tuesday night from 8.00pm to 9.30pm, new members very welcome. Coaching available. Contact Andrew Daly 086 2455321

Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Pilgrimage takes place this year from May 12 to May 17. Fare is €680 which includes Flights, Insurance, transfers, accommodation and all your food. All pilgrims will need a valid Passport and E111. Further information can be obtained from Kathleen McCreesh 042 9377188. As part of preparations for this year’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes Mass will be celebrated in Kilkerley Church on Monday next May 6, at 7.30 p.m. After Mass a short meeting will be held in the Community Centre to finalise arrangements.

Fatima Pilgrimage

This Pilgrimage takes place from June 20 to June 27, 2013 costing €699 per person sharing, including all meals and insurance. Single room supplement €15 per night. Further details from Fr. Gerry Campbell PP.

Emmet’s GFC

Club lotto jackpot was €4,300 this week. The senior team continued the good start in the main league winning 0-8 to 0-6 at home to O’Connell’s. Sean Hand 0-4, Ray Mulholland 0-3, Ciaran Clarke 0-1. The rest of senior league games schedule is as follows – O’Raghaillighs (A) this Thursday at 7.15pm, Plunkets (H) on Friday week at 7.30pm, St Pats (A), Martins (H), Cooley (A), Dreadnots (H), Sean O’Mahoneys (A), Mattock Rangers (H). The junior side lost 1-10 to 1-9 away to Plunkets, with Conall McEneany 1-3, Ray Mulholland 0-5, Connor Kirk 0-1. Micheal McGeown 0-1.On Friday May 10 the U-12 teamare away to Gaels. The U-14 squad this year is as follows: Ciaran Lennon, Tadgh Litchfield, Darren Geoghean, Jamie Doherty, Craig Murtagh, Paul Gogarthy( NM) Tristan McKeown, Sean McCaughey, Morgan McCaughey, Niall Jackson, Ciaran Murtagh, Ciaran Lennon, Conor Quigley, Ewan McEnteggart, Oisin Conroy, Fintan Brady, Michael Begley, Niall Cummins, Ultan McEnaney and Andrew Connolly. The minor team beat Cooley 3-13 to 1-5 withTadhg McEnaney 1-5, Dan McKeeown 1-4, Daire Flanagan 1-0, Connor Kirk 0-2, Conaill McEnaney and James Bellew 0-1 each. The U-16 team beat Pat 5-9 to 2-7 with Tadhg McEnaney 4-7, Kevin Green 1-0, Conor Coleman 0-2 and are away to Mattock on Monday next at 7.30pm. Summer Cul Camps take place in Kilkerley and Knockbridge from July 22 to July 26 and in Roche from July 29 to August 2. In total there will be 23 camps in Louth this year commencing July 1 and end Friday August 16. More coaches are needed and anyone interested in coaching can download an application form the County Website. Application forms should be returned to or posted to Francie McMullen, Louth GAA Centre of Excellence, Darver, Readypenny. Closing date for all applications is Friday May 17. Late applications or applications that do not meet the minimum criteria will not be accepted under any circumstances.
