Tallanstown Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns work sessions are currently taking place this year on Monday and Wednesday evenings commencing at 7pm. It was very encouraging to see so many residents from a number of housing estates requesting help with their work and turning out to help, the residents of the roads leading into the village were also out in force on Wednesday evening last despite the frequent heavy showers, lots of weeding and cleaning got done. Progress is slow with the bad spring we have had, but with continuing help we hope to be ready for summer judging in the National competition.

We meet at the Old School and any member of the community is more than welcome to come along and take part, they will be made very welcome.

Our tidy town’s village website is currently having an upgrade and will be a work in progress for the next few weeks. If you have any ideas you feel might contribute to a new look please email with your ideas.
