Cead Míle Fáilte to Peter & Kim Rock, Whiting, Indiana, and to Richard & Debbie Power and their Daughter Jessica, Milwaukee, on their first visit to Mucker, Inniskeen. Peter and Debbie are the decendants of Ned Gilligan, Nephew of the late Thomas Lennon, Mucker. Ned was sent home from Chicago to Mucker , by his Mother Catherine Gilligan nee Lennon, to her Brother Thomas on the death of her Husband, (Ned’s Father in Chicago), where he lived for many years until the remarriage of Catherine, when she brought him back to Chicago.
Ned’s Daughters Margaret and Kathleen visited here a number of years ago.
We would like to convery their Thanks to Rosaleen Kearney, Patrick Kavanagh Centre for opening the Centre and giving them a Tour of the Centre, as Ned all during his youth had been a good friend of Patrick Kavanagh. They were very impressed by both the centre and Rosaleen.
