Senior Citizens

PLANS are underway for our Party on Sunday 26th of May. We will start Mass at 3pm, after which a full meal will be served. The meal will be followed by bingo and music. A church gate collection will be held on Sat 11th and Sun 12th of May. Next meeting Tuesday 6th May at 8pm.

Croagh Patrick Climb

STILL hope to get another 20 climbers this weekend. Our bus is now booked for the trip, I am aware that a number of climbers are going down the night before, this will free up some space on the bus. I need to know who needs a seat. Bus will leave the Church car-park at 6.00am sharp on NEXT Saturday 11th May and return for 9.30pm approx. Completed Sponsorship cards can be given in at any time.

An Important Note For All Altar Servers, Collectors, Readers, And Eucharistic Ministers

IT’S that ‘funny’ time of year again where the temptation not to turn up, if you are on parish ministry. If you are not able to attend your Parish Ministry, please arrange a replacement. Ministry comes from a Latin word meaning Service, by participating in these parish ministries, you are taking Jesus command to serve at the last Supper, seriously. Thanks to all those who faithfully do this throughout the year.

For the attention of all our Junior and Leaving Cert Students

ON behalf of the Parish Pastoral Team we invite you to join us for the Vigil Mass on Saturday 1st June which will be prayed for you. On the night you will be given a special candle to take home with you to be lighted during your study time. We are also offering you a Prayer Sponsor who will accompany you during your exam time. If you wish to avail of this offer, please fill in the invitation sheet at the back of the Church, filling in your name, and taking home with you the Prayer for Examinations.

Blessed Sacrament Procession Carrickmacross

SUNDAY 19th May at 3pm. The Boys and Girls who have received their First Holy Communion this year from all surrounding Parishes are invited to walk in the Procession with their parents. The First Communion children are asked to assemble outside the main door of the Church at 2.45pm.

Great Stonetown Charity Run and Walk

The Great Stonetown Charity Run and Walk organising committee are organising a 5k and 10k charity run and walk for Sunday the 19th of May in Stonetown.

All proceeds will go to The Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, The Neonatal Unit in the Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and The Palliative Care Units in Carrickmacross and Ardee.
