El Paso Comedy Club is celebrating one year of laughs at Toales Live Venue, and host Elizabeth Redmond has lined up a night of top-tier stand-up to mark the occasion in style.
The birthday bash takes place at Toales Live Venue, and features a headline set from comedy fireball Joe Dowlin, plus a killer support lineup of some of Ireland’s best up-and-coming comedians.
Joe Dowlin—a regular at The Laughter Lounge and Hot Water Comedy Club—is known for his madcap, high-energy storytelling that’s taken him to the stages of Electric Picnic, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, All Together Now, and beyond.
He’s shared lineups with legends like Tommy Tiernan and Des Bishop, and is a crowd favourite wherever he goes.

He’s the winner of Dublin’s Next Top Comic 2019, a Cherry Comedy Breakout Act finalist, and has even opened for Reginald D. Hunter.
James Downey, the Belfast-based music-comedy hybrid whose blend of tunes and laughs delivers a uniquely entertaining performance every time.
Jay Fitzsimons, a manic and mostly-upbeat comic who champions good, honest queer values and pledges to make comedy weird again.
And Dane Frisby, the rising Wicklow star who’s quickly approaching the gold standard of Irish stand-up.
With a mix of sharp wit, original voices, and explosive talent, this birthday celebration promises to be one for the books, hosted as always by Dundalk's favourite Texan, Ms El Paso herself Elizabeth Redmond.

Friday 11th April - Bedside Community single launch night + Jared Kelly + Fod + Oceansmyth - Doors at 8pm - Admission only €5.
Rising indie-electro/rock act Bedside Community is set to celebrate the release of their brand-new single, “Binge Drinking Sober,” with a special launch party at Toales Live Venue on Friday, April 11th.
Joining them on the night are Jared Kelly, Fod, and Oceansmyth, making for an unmissable lineup of emerging Irish talent.
The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Roberto Tamburrini, Bedside Community has been steadily carving out a place in the alternative music scene.
Tamburrini, who began writing and recording from a young age under various pseudonyms, has now refined his sound into something uniquely his own.
Drawing from a diverse palette of influences—including folk, post-punk, grunge, shoegaze, and early 2000s indie—Bedside Community’s music is an evocative blend of melancholy and raw emotion, where atmospheric textures meet introspective lyricism.
His songwriting explores themes of mental health, grief, addiction, and the everyday struggles of life, making for deeply personal and resonant music.
With doors opening at 8pm, this launch promises to be a powerful night of live music. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the project, don’t miss the chance to witness Bedside Community’s next chapter at Toales on April 11th!
Saturday 12th April - PizzaPizza Records present Surge + Hedgling + PCRO - Doors 8pm - Admission €10.
Dundalk-based record label Pizza Pizza returns to Toales this weekend with another carefully curated night of boundary-pushing music, shining a spotlight on some of the most compelling acts in Ireland’s underground scene.
Headlining the event is Surge, a four-piece queer hardcore band from Dublin. Known for their explosive live shows and politically charged lyrics, Surge have been a fixture in the Irish punk scene since 2016, blending distortion-heavy guitars with a raw, uncompromising energy.
Also performing on the night is Hedgling, an experimental duo made up of Natalia Beylis and Willie Stewart.
The pair explore the intersection of sound and atmosphere, using percussive found objects, tape loops, and environmental recordings to create immersive sonic experiences that defy easy categorisation.
Opening the evening is PCRO, a rising act whose music draws on ‘90s rock and grunge influences. Their melancholic, angular compositions offer a reflective counterpoint to the heavier sounds that follow.
Doors open at 8pm and admission is €10.
With a diverse lineup that spans punk, experimental, and alt-rock, the showcase promises a night of adventurous music for those looking to discover something new.
