Brace for Chilly Conditions: Thursday's forecast for Louth brings clouds and rain

Outbreaks of rain are expected in Louth

Thursday will be cloudy and breezy to start with further outbreaks of rain.

The rain will fall as sleet in places, with some snow in the north midlands and on high ground.

A clearance to sunny spells and scattered showers will occur in the afternoon and early evening.

Feeling very cold early in the day, with highest temperatures of just 2 to 5 degrees, and a wind chill factor due to the brisk easterly wind.

Turning less cold in the south of the province later with winds easing and temperatures there reaching 6 to 9 degrees.

Rain and sleet will persist with outbreaks of rain elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees.

Northeast winds will be quite brisk across the North and Northeast, and mainly moderate in strength across other areas.
