Transfer Window reaction: Woodward’s Millions

As I type, Transfer Deadline Day is in full swing. Having gotten used to the monotony of the last handful of windows, where few have spent large, Manchester United have gone full on Brewster’s Millions.
The Richard Pryor comedy from the mid 80s was about an average Joe given 24 hours to spend a billionaire’s inheritance. That’s pretty much the task that was given to United’s chief executive, Ed Woodward, and boy, has he made a good start.
News broke late Sunday night that a deal had been agreed for Monaco hitman, Radamel Falcao. Dreams became a reality overnight as a loan was struck Monday morning.
That’s only the icing, though. The base of the cake still needs finishing off. Brewster managed it – can Woodward?
